How to use it

Advent is a season of waiting, and that is easy to lose in a December of lists and noise. This four-week study follows the traditional themes — hope, peace, joy and love — from the prophets who longed for a coming King, through Mary and the angel, to the shepherds and the manger. Each week opens a passage, works through discussion and reflection, and closes with a prayer for the week, so the season has at least one quiet thread running through it. Build it into a group's Advent or keep it as personal devotion. Designed to be used during the four weeks before Christmas.
